KU MBA/MS PROGRAMS OFFICE
Making graduate programs easier to compare.
I researched and organized a course-by-course comparison of KU and seven MBA competitors in Kansas and Missouri. The report brings course offerings, curricular similarities, and gaps into one reference for MBA office leadership. My broader program research also covers Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, and Minnesota.
The problem
Program information was spread across different catalogs and formats, making comparisons difficult.
My contribution
Collected and organized course information, mapped curricular similarities, and documented differences.
The deliverable
A course comparison covering KU and seven Kansas and Missouri peers, with a course-equivalency matrix and source references.
What it supports
A completed reference for leadership review. Course-similarity ratings describe the research findings; they do not confer transfer credit.
I independently authored a consulting report for a Lawrence business, evaluating suppliers, pricing, sales channels, and market-entry options. My wider Jayhawk Consulting role includes client interviews and collaboration with peers under MBA faculty supervision.
The problem
A local business needed a practical assessment of sourcing and routes to market.
My contribution
Researched options and independently wrote the featured report within a faculty-supervised consulting engagement.
The deliverable
A client report with supplier, pricing, channel, and market-entry recommendations. The public copy is redacted.
Project status
Completed recommendations for client evaluation, with proposed actions distinguished from implemented changes.
Student-facing tools need to stay relevant to KU graduate program questions.
My contribution
Helped develop tools using Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT Work for the MBA program’s website and student-facing platforms.
The deliverable
Recommended response guidelines to keep answers focused on KU program information and redirect unrelated questions.
Project status
Collaborative development support and proposed response guidelines for the MBA office’s review.

KANSAS U.S. SENATE CAMPAIGN
Organizing information for civic engagement.
I support coalition research and outreach to individuals and organizations, organizing research findings and contact information for follow-up. This work connects my interest in community leadership with service to Kansas and our country.
The need
Bring scattered public election figures into a usable county comparison.
My contribution
Organized publicly available information in a spreadsheet for side-by-side review.
The deliverable
A county election comparison with neutral office labels. It contains no coalition contacts or internal outreach records.
What it demonstrates
A completed county reference demonstrating spreadsheet organization and public-data research.
I’m a Management & Leadership senior at the University of Kansas, interested in human resources and business operations.
I work at the intersection of people and information: helping graduate students navigate KU, researching business decisions, and organizing opportunities for transfer students. In each role, I listen, clarify the problem, and turn research into something people can use. Kansas City is my primary career focus, with a personal connection to Oklahoma City that keeps me open to opportunities there, too.

BUSINESS TRANSFER STUDENT CLUB
A stronger welcome to KU.
As president, I secured the club’s first funding and work with our advisor, Stephanie L.H. Schmitz, to coordinate budgets, finances, and university requirements. I rewrote the club constitution and helped move the organization into active participation in KU Engage.
I proposed the Suitable information session as vice president and helped coordinate it with Business Career Services. It returned for a second successful year under my presidency in response to continued demand and positive feedback. Stephanie’s recommendation also documents membership growth of more than twenty students following our recruitment effort.

Serve as a first point of contact for graduate and prospective students, coordinate visits and staff availability, conduct program research, and help develop student-facing AI tools.

Interview clients and collaborate with peers under MBA faculty supervision to develop business recommendations. Independently authored the featured consulting report.
Research prospective coalition partners, support outreach, and organize findings and contact information in Excel, Google Sheets, and campaign databases for follow-up.
Secured the club’s first funding and brought back the Suitable session with Business Career Services for a second successful year. Coordinate budgets and university requirements with our advisor.

Participated in the Shark Tank project in Accounting 201, applying classroom learning to a business proposal. Coursework includes finance, accounting, human resources, operations, supply chain, and business law.

My family’s multigenerational Oklahoma roots and years of community involvement have kept Oklahoma City close to my heart. Kansas City is my primary career focus, and I’m also open to returning to the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
